Last Week at JPII - 05/26/25
Congratulations to JPII’s 8th Grade class on completing their studies! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things they go on to do!
May 26, 2025 - It was a busy week at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.
Congratulations to all the students who received awards at last night’s End of Year Graduation Mass & Awards! Special thanks to Fr. Broheimer and Dcn. Hula for their ministry and presence during this important event.
With the school year winding down, students enjoyed a few more fun learning experiences this week. Taking advantage of the gorgeous spring weather, 7th grade enjoyed a hike at Hitchcock Nature Center, and the High School took their 2nd annual trip to Indian Caves state park.
In the classroom, students enjoyed the unique opportunity to dissect a cow’s tongue and heart - special thanks to moms Dr. Maria O’Malley and Dr. Elizabeth Miles for leading the dissection, and to Liz Langan for providing the items to dissect!
We celebrated the last official day of school with Field Day! This high-energy afternoon included Relay Races, Human Battleship, Capture the Flag, Latin Jeopardy, Water Balloon Toss, Steal the Bacon (Rubber Chicken), and more - all part of one final push to obtain Hall points and the highly coveted Griffin Cup! At the end of the day, Frassati Hall came out on top, winning themselves a nameplate on the base of the Griffin Cup! Everyone celebrated with some refreshing Kona Ice - it was a fantastic way to end a fantastic school year! To see more photos of the fun, click here.
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
