Admissions

We admit families.

One concept guides the Admissions process at JPII:

“We admit families, not only students.”

Why? Building men and women of intellect and character who love God is a team effort. To accomplish that mission we must effectively partner with our parents, who we believe are the primary educators of their children. To get to the hearts, minds, and wills of our students requires a strong bond between home and school founded on mutual understanding, deliberate guidance, and consistent messages. We start building that bond in the Admissions process.

St. John Paul II Academy is dedicated to ensuring that prospective families are introduced to our school’s unique mission and that we become fully introduced to your family. The goal of our multi-step admissions process is to discern, in collaboration with parents, whether JPII is the right partner for your family in helping to form your children.

Admissions Process

1. Request information

Could JPII be the best fit for your family? Use our quick Interest Form below to start a friendly conversation so we can learn more about each other. Our Admissions staff will review it, and contact you shortly.

2. Visit in person

The atmosphere at JPII is unique in Omaha. We’ll schedule a personal tour, shadow day, and family visit centered around a conversation with our school leaders. We’re looking forward to meeting you!

Our Admissions team will work with you to schedule a visit after receiving your Interest Form.

3. Apply online

After your visit, you’ll have the chance to complete your application online by creating an account in our admissions system, TADS, and paying a one-time application fee of $50 per student.

Copies of each student’s transcript and/or report card and an academic assessment are required.

Once families have been informed of their acceptance, should they choose to enroll, a $300 (K-8) or $400 (9-12) nonrefundable book and activities fee will be due within two weeks to secure the student’s place in the class.

Additional instructions for tuition payment plans and financial aid applications will follow.

Tuition and Fees, 2024–25

Grades K–8

Tuition: $4,450
Books and Activities Fee: $300

Grades 9–12

Tuition: $8,150

Affording JPII

We understand that enrolling your child at private school is a significant financial investment.

Most families must budget carefully and prioritize to provide this level of education for their children. We also recognize that some families may need to re-assess their finances each year prior to re-enrolling.

To help families manage the cost, JPII provides payment plans as well as limited, need-based financial aid to qualifying families. The aid amount is determined each year and available as the budget allows.

Admitted families desiring financial assistance should contact our Admissions Team to complete a third-party financial aid application online.

St. John Paul II Academy has worked to set a tuition rate that is competitive, but also allows for the school to provide reasonably for staff, support programming, and operate sustainably.

As an independent school, tuition income does not cover the full cost to operate a school. We close the gap with generous donations and take seriously the responsibility to budget carefully and steward resources in such a way that keeps tuition competitive and fundraising goals achievable.

Would you like to help JPII offer more financial aid to deserving families?
