Welcome to St. John Paul II Academy!

Choosing a school for your kids is one of the most important decisions you can make.

You’re not just weighing curriculum, clubs and commute — although those things are important. You’re choosing the team of people you’ll partner with to help form your son or daughter into the saint they were created to become.

At St. John Paul II Academy, that team includes a dedicated and brilliant faculty who love to learn and love to teach. It also includes a tight-knit community of families who look out for each other, enjoy spending time together, and share common values and priorities.

Chief among those priorities is buy-in to our school’s mission: To form people who search for the truth, choose goodness, and love beauty — who are “dangerous” forces for good in our world.

In pursuit of that vision, JPII offers a traditional liberal arts education, which is civilization’s answer to a big question: What does a person need to know to be truly free? We feel this approach — introduction into “the Arts of Liberty” — is the best way to form happy, holy men and women who will be good citizens and loyal friends.

In many ways we are a “classical school.” Indeed, our curriculum is grounded in the classic texts of western culture. At JPII, our approach is less like repairing ruins, and more like keeping a roaring fire alive. Thus, our curriculum approaches modern thought and invites students to love what is good and true in today’s world. Our intent is to foster sincere interest in the abundant goodness of the world.

At JPII, parents are helped to form their sons into the type of men they would want their daughters to marry, and daughters into the type of women they would want their sons to marry. The faculty encourage students to be true Christian gentlemen and ladies, striving to do the ordinary things of life extraordinarily well for the love of God and in the service of others. All student programs take place in the context of a personal approach to education where cheerfulness goes hand-in-hand with hard work and a striving to conquer oneself.

Our vision of education is to transmit a culture. We can only be successful insofar as our school culture and families’ cultures are aligned and support one another. For this reason, we make efforts to support, form, and uplift families and their cultures as an integral part of our school operation.

If this type of partnership sounds interesting to you, I invite you to reach out and visit us. The warmth and vibrance of our community are second-to-none in Omaha or anywhere, and there is no substitute for experiencing it in person.

Thank you for visiting our website.
