St. John Paul II Academy Welcomes Two New Faculty for 2024-25 School Year

Omaha, NE - St. John Paul II Academy is delighted to announce two new faculty hires for the 2024-25 school year: Miss Eva Simons and Mr. Aidan Fletcher.

Miss Simons, a graduate of Benedictine College with a B.A. in Art and a minor in Education, brings her passion for learning and teaching across the curriculum to JPII’s Lower School Faculty. With previous experience as a Seton Teaching Fellow in New York, Miss Simons is eager to return to the Omaha community, where she will focus on nurturing the young minds of our primary grades. In her free time, Miss Simons loves communicating goodness and beauty through creating art and teaching others to do the same.

Mr. Fletcher, holding a B.A. in Theology with a specialization in Education from Christendom College, joins JPII’s Upper School Faculty with expertise in Classical Education and the Liberal Arts. Mr. Fletcher has performed in and directed choirs and theater programs for nearly a decade, with a focus on polyphony, Gregorian chant and Shakespeare in performance. He has also worked as an outdoor wilderness survival instructor in the Blue Ridge Mountains for 7 years. Among other things, Mr. Fletcher will lead Upper School choir, and spearhead JPII’s new Outdoor Leadership Program. When not at school, Mr. Fletcher enjoys reading, singing in his parish choir, and spending time with his wife and their two beautiful children.

Miss Simons and Mr. Fletcher are the two newest members of the growing list of dedicated faculty and staff at St. John Paul II Academy. The JPII community looks forward to welcoming and getting to know them over the summer as preparations continue for an enriching school year.

St. John Paul II Academy is actively seeking additional faculty members for the upcoming school year. Visit www.jpomaha.org/employment for more information on available positions and how to apply.
