Last Week at JPII - 03/24/25
Celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph was the major highlight of this week! Scroll down to read more, see photos, and watch a video recap.
Mar 24 2025 - Prayer, feasting, and song! That about summarizes our St. Joseph Feast Day celebrations.
Our many thanks to all our parents and friend who helped make the Feast Day a great success. Thank you also for the flowers, and donations of pasta, baked goods, and fruits for our St. Joseph Altar. The Stephen Center and the St. Vincent de Paul Society were very grateful to receive them!
For a quick recap of the festivities, check out the video below!
After the St. Joseph’s Day Festivities, students engaged the faculty in thrilling game of basketball, MC’ed by the 5th and 6th grade boys. Students took the win 30-35.
But it wasn’t all fun and games this week! Among other things, 1st and 2nd graders covered reading comprehension and musical rhythm patterns.
7th and 8th graders meditated on the Stations of the Cross in Theology class, and completed a project where they wrote about the Station from the perspective of one of the people present at the Station, such as Simon of Cyrene, the Blessed Mother, or a soldier.
And on the creative front: the 5th and 6th grade boys are hard at work creating props for the Spring Play, 12 Angry Jurors.
Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
