Last Week at JPII - 01/13/25

Starting 2025 off with an Epiphany blessing for the whole school! Special thank you to Fr. Gutgsell for blessing our classrooms and chalking our doors.

Jan 13, 2025 - It was a busy week at St. John Paul II Academy! Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from last week, capturing the heart of life at JPII.

Happy Birthday, St. Maximilian Kolbe! Kolbe Hall celebrated its Hall Day on its patron saint’s birthday. Special thanks to our parent volunteers who made and served a delicious Polish pierogi and sausage lunch to make the day so special.

On the left, 1st and 2nd grade girls show off this week’s art class creations. On the right, Boys and Girls Leadership (1st-4th) combined forces this week and took to the court to learn to play badminton.

Who knew science class could be this delicious? 5th and 6th grade students conducted a science lab exploring the senses of taste and smell.

7th and 8th graders were challenged in 30 minutes to draw portraits of each other using only implied lines. Implied lines are not drawn outright, but rather are lines suggested by changes in color, tone and texture or by the edges of shapes. Enjoy a few of the highlights!

Hope you enjoyed this week in the life of JPII. Stay tuned for more glimpses in and out of the classroom as we continue to form saints, fully alive!
